I just want to make a short point on this whole desecration of the Koran thing.
They are all up in arms and killing people over unconfirmed stories of alleged Koran abuse. For example, the US has had to close down the embassy in Indonesia because of threats.
My question is this: Where's all the freakn' outrage by the Muslim community when one of their fellow Muslims blows up a bomb, at a mosque killing people, and most likely damaging many Korans, Where's the demonstrations and outrage? What? It's ok to blow up your holy book, as long as you don't set it next to a toilet?
My other question is, what other country in the world would be even allowing these suspects to have a Koran besides the USA?
In my point of view, these people will use any excuse at all to be violent and malicious towards us. This places and extra burden of responsibility on our media at home, and they need to recognize it. The free ride for them is over.

This reminds me of those cultural awareness seminars when they bring up points like - "it's OK for you to say something about your sister, but let someone else say something, and it's a whole other story."
Good point, I haven't heard anyone comment on this before - you have a knack of pulling things like this out in the open.
You're right. And you are voicing a truth that is not Politically Correct.
The other question, at least in my mind, is why aren't Americans rioting and burning copies of Newsweek? Unless things have changed drastically in the last few hours, I think that we're still AT WAR!
If we don't start "hanging together" as Americans, it is entirely possible that in the not too distant future we may be hung individually as Americans.
Pardon the 'earhty colloquialism' but I am getting good and truly pissed off! We have US Senators talking about an 'Abu Graihb' Day to remind us of how horrible we are. How about the mass graves of Kurds et cetera. In spite of the Political incorrectness of it, I'd like to suggest that some of these guys (media included) find a proctologist who can help them get there annal sphincters removed from around their necks. In case nobody noticed WE ARE THE GOOD GUYS!

Such a conundrum...where is the outrage when high-ranking dignitaries watch the "Book of Mormon" musical laughing and then publicly shame US citizens for speaking candidly about their true feelings toward the Koran?
